So today it was announced at our fee earners meeting that my sabbatical had been approved and that next year I would be taking a break to go off travelling around the English canals.
It was very sad in some ways as I absolutely adore the firm I work for and I can’t help but have some second thoughts. But, everyone has been so supportive and this is an opportunity of a lifetime.
Sadly I have seen too many clients whose plans have been thwarted by death or illness and I just know it would be a huge regret if we didn’t seize the moment.
