Hello everyone!
What a shame the glorious weather has broken!
Srill, we have to be grateful as we have had some really cracking weather and are both sporting a pretty decent tan!

It really is amazing cruising along in the sun singing your heart out!
It was my birthday on the 10th April and we spent this at Market Drayton. We had a lovely ‘birthday eve’ out in the Countryside where we got our guitar and Ukes out and had a good old sing song (next blog will include a music video).

On my actual birthday we went for a lovely meal at the Red Lion which is attached to the Joules brewery. Paul was in his element!

Sadly though our thermals, hats and gloves are back out although we still have plenty of logs and coal to burn.

The weather is still good enough to dry washing and so we are back to washing by hand and drying said washing in the bow on a clothes dryer as we cruise! It’s so much easier than worrying about finding a laundrette.
We have decided on our route for the next couple of months which will hopefully take us on to the Kennet & Avon canal at Reading. Paul has done his usual ‘piece to camera’ for those who love a good map explanation!
We will be spending Easter weekend at Kidderminster where Zak & I will jump on a train back to Derby to catch up with the family. Paul is going to stay on Daisy to hopefully do some jobs which are easier when he has the boat to himself, such as painting the engine bay and touching up Daisy’s scrapes and bruises.
We are both sad to leave the Shroppie with the nice beautifully maintained locks, but we are also keen to explore a new section of the waterway.

Hope all is well with you!
Love to all,
Jo, Paul, Zak & Daisy xxx
