Hello everyone.
So we moved on to Daisy Duke as planned yesterday (thank you Archie for dropping us off). However, we have not yet been able to set sail for a number of reasons….
Firstly, Daisy was still being finished off – she was having the pram covers fitted by Sean at SPL Covers and then she needed a good clean down. The pram covers do look amazing and will give us an extra room at the front and back (and also somewhere else to put fairy lights).

Secondly the weather is too wet and windy for us to contemplate travelling so we are using this time to finish unpacking, to find a home for everything, and to try and sort the TV, Wi-Fi etc etc. I (Jo) have also learnt today how to empty the toilet. I always managed to avoid doing this when we went away in the caravan, but I don’t think I can blag it long term. I could not believe how heavy the cassette was when full – I also could not believe the amount of stuff that came out of it. As it was so heavy, Paul had to help me lift it into the elson thing. I can only describe the next steps as totally gross. A very helpful fellow boater has suggested that I put vicks vapo rub under my nose next time and maybe get a mask as well. I also need to make sure that it is not full next time as I wont be able to lift it.

Lastly, we are still having teething problems with Daisy. As we are trying things out, we are finding things that need fixing ore repairing but we are slowly getting there and hope to set sail when the weather gets kinder towards the end of the week.
We would like to thank you all for your messages and for checking in on us. It has been a very overwhelming last couple of days and we are looking forward to brighter times ahead!

I had that job with our motorhome. ๐ . Hopefully teething problems will get sorted soon and you can begin your travels.
It’s a dirty job for sure! Think all will be better when the sun is out.
Hi Jo
I hope you have a good supply of rubber gloves – very ‘match matchy’ with the cassette.
The herbs look healthy.
Thank you Julie! We were going to keep these gloves with the cassette but will see how long they last.
Going to find a proper home for the herbs tomorrow in the front which will hopefully be a hippie space!

Itโs a womanโs job to fill the toilet & a manโs job to empty it. Looking forward to snapshots of your adventures ๐
