Our time in Huddersfield has been great.
Due to the fact we were going to be receiving visitors at the weekend, we splashed out on some private visitor moorings for a few days and it was well worth it. Thanks to all at Aspley Marina, with a special thanks to Tony for being most helpful.
We were excited to receive Annabel, Dec and of course, Lily. They did not disappoint in giving us a much needed boost of family time and we are grateful to them all. Requested goods were brought to us and a load of, now, unwanted items handed over for shipping back to Derby.
Lily had a whale of a time walking along the roof but unfortunately Mummy wasn’t quite so confident and simply getting her to sit on the roof for a photo was hard enough. Having dispatched Annabel and Dec to the hotel a mere stones throw away, Lily got to sleep in the Captain’s bed with Nanny. Papa got kicked down to the sofa bed as a result.
An extra bonus was the visit of Gemma, Dan and Oliver who were passing through whilst visiting some train places for Oliver (but probably Dan). Gemma worked with Jo at Timms and so it was nice to see her, and her family, again.
The one thing we both miss on our travels are family and friends and so all visits are warmly received.
Jo has also now created a ‘visitor’s gallery’ which you can find in the main menu. Also, the normal gallery has been updated with pictures of our travels.
