Paul and I have both avidly been watching the news and various videos of the many flooded canals and rivers around the UK.
It seems like the biggest lesson for us to learn is to (a) ensure we are moored up somewhere safe (eg not a river) when heavy rain is predicted and (b) ensure that we stay on the boat to lengthen the mooring rope as the waters rise so that the boat doesn’t become submerged.
The floods haven’t put us off, but it looks like we might need to factor in waders and a paddleboard into our packing list!
