Well we were justified in pushing our way throught the summit as it is currently closed!

We have used our time here in Littleborough to do a few jobs, including a big food shop and getting all our bedding and towels washed. The laundrette here is the cheapest yet and they do it all for you!
On Tuesday we took the bus back to Tod as I had an appointment to get my hair done. I have always wanted to try hippie locs but didnt want to ruin my hair getting them done properly in case I didnt like it. Also, my hair is too short for them to be done properly.
So, Lisa from Spiritual Connections has made me two hair pieces that I can wear as and when I want. I’m loving experimenting with the various styles.

Jess joined us in Littleborough on Tuesday evening and it took her just over 2hrs to get here. After Jess had settled, we took her to the Hare on the Hill, which is a micro pub offering cask ale – Jess’ favourite. Jess also taught us a new card game which was fun.

The next day, on Jess’ actually birthday, we took the bus to Hepden Bridge where we had a moochy around and visited some more cask ale pubs that Jess had on her list of places to visit. I think our favourite pub was called ‘The drink’.

After we had finished pottering around Hebden Bridge, we caught the bus to Tod where we continued with the pub crawl. Pubs included ‘The Pub’ and the ‘Polished Knob’. A great deal of ale was consumed and we did not let the weather dampen our spirits.

We finished off in the Golden Lion where we had a lovely Thai meal. The village community was also out in force with their instruments playing a variety of David Bowie songs. They very kindly played their version of Hapoy Birthday for Jess which I managed to capture on video 😀

Jess seemed to really enjoy her stay with us and we were sorry to see her go. Whilst we didn’t get to travel with us on Daisy, she did experience Paul reversing Daisy up to the elsen point so that he could empty the loo and then seamlessly do a parallel park back into our mooring spot. Well done Paul!
Jess also showed no fear walking around the edge of Daisy!
