Hi all, just a quick update re Paul’s wrist. Everything is healing well and he now has a splint instead of the cast. At least now he can shower unaided and get back to washing up!
We’ve had an enjoyable time at the marina which has excellent facilities and there is also a huge Tesco a short walk away.
I’ve been able to forage lots of apples and have done some baking and we have winterized the boat ready for the cold weather. We have added carpet tiles under and around the bed mattresses, we have placed dehumidifier things around Daisy and we have vacume packed our summer clothes and any spare linen to preserve against mould. Paul also varnished the inside windows.
We have also enjoyed a trip down to Katie & Ryan’s and had fun times in Guildford (also met Katie’s boss) and at the beach at West Wittering.
We have also been blessed with the company of Shirley & Bill and we had a great trip out into the big city, which is a short train drive away. Shirley and Bill did a speed boat tour of the Thames whilst Paul and I took a more leisurey tour on the River boat (which was still fast compared to Daisy!).
We are expecting a visit from Dot next week and will also be going to Tring to see family there.
We aim to be back on our travels on Sunday 6th October so will be in touch again later on in October.
