Well hello everybody! After almost 9 weeks, we are back aboard Daisy Duke!
It was very cold and bleak when we came on board as everything was packed away. However we soon got the stove going and spent an enjoyable afternoon getting Daisy back to her usual homely self.
Our efforts in vacuum packing everything have really paid off as everything still smells freshly laundered and there is not a trace of damp.
After I’ve finished work tomorrow we will leave the marina and set off on our journey. We are headed for Chester but, because of a stoppage on the Trent & Mersey near Stoke, we are having to go down to Wolverhampton before diverting up the Shropshire Union canal. We then hope to make our way into North Wales before coming down the West side of the Country.
We hope we have not lost any of our followers during the break and that you are all excited as we are to be back on board.
