Weighing anchor on our anniversary!

Paul was finally discharged from hospital yesterday morning and, after a bath and sleep at Woodsorrel Drive, we headed back to Daisy yesterday afternoon, where Paul was immediately put on bed rest for the remainder of the day.

Later in the evening we went for a short walk around the nature reserve at Fradley which is just beautiful. Due to the amount of morphine Paul has been having, we gave the local pub a miss! Instead, we took some nature photos.

Today we woke up to our 15 year anniversary. Thank you to Dot and David for your cards and to everyone for their kind messages.

Around midday we left Fradley and took a steady cruise down to Alrewas. The weather is sunny but very windy and we were glad we were only going a short distance.

Once moored up in Alrewas, we went to say hello to my grandma’s grave and we also went to the spot where she used to take me to feed the ducks when I was little.

EIther tomorrow or Saturday we will be carrying on further down towards Derby. Paul has done a video to show where the canal meets the river.

Love to all,

Jo & Paul xx
